[Forgive me for no posts for a week. I had a busy week with laughing children, “summer school” with a friend and volunteering.]

Have you ever gotten in the habit of praying? I haven’t; especially this last week. I’ll do it later. I’ll do it before bed. Recently, thought, I’ve been reading about prayer.

So many have said praying more has brought them closer to God. It helps them get through the craziness as well as calm moments where you need to give Him thanks.

What is Exotic?

A poem finished. Hope you all are having fun summers. 😉

[Back story: Before the beginning of one school year,  my  teacher had us do a fun question sheet. One question asked, ‘Whats the most exotic place you’ve been?’ My answer: ” Uh… Branson Missouri.” Really, I don’t get around much. Here’s the poem inspired by that.]

The feeling didn’t start till 8th grade; The feeling that I could be doing more. I had stopped doing ballet the year before and suddenly a light bulb of realization turned on.

First I looked back and saw all the days of practicing since kindergarten hadn’t been filled with as much purpose as I thought. Oh yes, I loved ballet, (still do) but it didn’t seem to fulfill the inner goal in my heart. It was sort of like a long passage of description at the beginning of a book. Sure it may be interesting enough , but it does nothing to move the story along. (more…)

I saw Brave a little while ago. I liked it. Before I saw it I was scared it would be one of those ‘Girl are awesome so we should act like men’ sort of movie. Okay, I learned my lesson. Never judge a movie by its preview.
